
Lisa is a licensed nationally certified Massage Therapist and Registered Nurse. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, which upholds a national Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice demonstrating a commitment to continuing education, assuring professionalism, confidentiality, safe conduct, ethics and accountability. Also a member of the National Association of Nurse Massage Therapists, which recognizes the human being as a unification of body, mind, spirit, and environment, with the role of the Nurse Massage Therapist to nurture and strengthen the clients ability to heal themselves.
Lisa is a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist (St. John Method), which focuses massage treatments to balance the central nervous system with the structure and form of the musculoskeletal system. The St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy treats and relieves pain patterns in the body caused from illness, injury, and postural distortion. Lisa is a graduate of the Therapeutic Massage Program at CCRI in 2001. There she earned a Certificate in Therapeutic Massage techniques and an award in academic excellence in a curriculum based in Therapeutic and Sports Massage. In 1996, Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating Cum Laude. She worked for The Miriam Hospital, Providence RI., in a critical care setting for five years.
Lisa provides relaxation, therapeutic, and medical massage. With knowledge grounded in nursing theory, nursing experience, advanced training in Neuromuscular Therapy techniques, and commitment to continuing education, Lisa individualizes client treatments to facilitate a balance in both the physical body with muscle release techniques, and the emotional body through the power of positive therapeutic touch.
